GERMAN TEAM HAS BECOME THE WINNER OF FIRST ROUND OF THE TRACK WORLD CUP

German team has won 8 medals – 1 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals, showing the highest result of the Astana round of the Track World Cup.
 

In women’s sprint qualifying Belarusian athlete Olga PANARINA showed the best result in this race (10,793 seconds) and repeated the world record set by Lithuanian Simona KRUPECKAITE in 2010. The interesting fact is that the record-breaker KRUPECKAITE also participated in this race, and was showed the third result in this race, falling behind PANARINA for 0,271 seconds
 

4 November, 2011. Athletes competed in the following qualifying races: omnium (men and women), points race 10 km (women), team sprint (men and women), scratch (men). Finals of the event started women’s team sprint right after the opening ceremony. The first sets of medals have been awarded already.

On November, 4\6-th at a World Cup stage on a bicycle track in Astana the first examination will hold Track team Astana. It is the professional command of bicycle racers first in the history of independent Kazakhstan on a track.
